Junior Achievement of Central Illinois Puts Entrepreneurs in the Classroom during National Entrepreneurship Month
We are pleased to once again partner with Junior Achievement to bring entrepreneurs into the classroom through the JA Launch Lesson during the month of November. Last year we had 9 local entrepreneurs participate at several high schools – this year we have set a goal of 18!
This initiative, designed to coincide with National Entrepreneurship Month, puts entrepreneurs into classrooms throughout our community to share what inspired them to start their own businesses and to open students’ eyes to the opportunities provided by entrepreneurship.
What is the JA Launch Lesson? The JA Launch Lesson is a 50-minute educational experience built around the theme of entrepreneurship that creates a point-of-entry for students, volunteers, and educators. It is delivered locally by entrepreneurs in classrooms around the United States during National Entrepreneurship Month. Entrepreneurs are given a one-page guide that gives them the opportunity to connect with students, provide relevant information about their company and entrepreneurial journey, and share advice and next steps for students who are interested in starting their own business.
